Zhouli Xuan (’10)
Ph.D Student
In 2009, I graduated from Sun-Yat Sen University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. At that time, I was confused with my future career choices. The only thing I knew at that time was to explore this world more before I made my decision. Luckily, I chose the Georgetown University MS in Biotechnology program.
It offered me a panoramic vision of the biotechnology industry: from entrepreneurship to intellectual property law, from basic science research to cutting edge diagnostic technology.
Visiting professors from different areas gave me new perspectives of the industry and taught me life lessons. The more important thing is: professors in this program are very supportive. As an international student, living alone aboard is not an easy transition. Dr. Chirikjian was my mentor, and provided me with all kinds of advice, and he continues to do so. Finally, I choose Doctorate of Physical Therapy as my future career direction. “Thank you Dr. C. and Georgetown University. “
