Project Manager, Science Engagement at CRDF Global
The MS Biotechnology program at Georgetown University has been and always will be invaluable to me. It was the best career decision I have made thus far. This is a fantastic program for scientists and non-scientists alike, as it provides a solid scientific understanding of Biotech principles as well as the Entrepreneurial, Business and Financial aspects of Biotech.
One of the best parts of the program is that industry experts provide insight into the current state and future outlook of the industry.
This was extremely helpful in gaining clarity on which areas to focus on and pursue in my career.
I started the program from a purely scientific background and through the Bio-business track I have gained experience in investment banking and in the Biotech industry. After graduating, I worked at a Biotech company, Theranostics Health, whose main focus is advancing personalized medicine through molecular diagnostics. I learned so much about the scientific and non-scientific aspects of running and growing a Biotech company. That experience enhanced my career outlook and I currently work as a Project Manager in Science Engagement at CRDF Global. None of this would have been possible without the Biotech Program.
