Our Biotech Program graduate, Panos Kostopoulos, MS, brought his visionary concept to Bark Tank, where he captured first place and a $30,000 cash award. He quickly put the prize to work, launching Proxy Foods in 2022. Proxy was founded with a clear mission: to transform every recipe into a force for good — benefiting people, the planet, and future generations.

From the beginning, the team recognized how food and beverage companies were constrained by complexity, organizational silos, fragmented workflows, and legacy systems that hindered innovation. Proxy was created to address these challenges. As an AI-native platform, it integrates science, data, and technology to unlock creativity and accelerate food product development.
