M.S in Biotechnology Students Shine at LLNL 2016 Summer Poster Symposium

Here’s to another successful conclusion to the 2016 GUMC/LLNL Summer Scholars Program!

Students from all over the world flock to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) each summer for the opportunity to engage in work-study employment opportunities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and administrative fields as part of the summer internship program.

This year, the M.S in Biotechnology Program sent five outstanding students,Talia Faison, Andrew Grand-Pierre, Whitney Hosein, Julie Kibui and Cameron Montour to LLNL’s internship project. Upon completion of the internship program, the students participated in a poster symposium to present their summer research projects and communicate their work with other researchers and peers. This year, our Andrew Grand-Pierre (new window) was among the winners that brought home the blue ribbon of excellence for his poster presentation. We congratulate all our students who completed the internship program!
